MELD Code of Conduct

Last updated: January 16, 2023

This Code of Conduct is created to ensure that all members of the MELD beta testing community are able to participate in a respectful and collaborative environment supportive of the MELD protocol and project. As a result, we have set boundaries for what is considered unacceptable behavior by members in the MELD beta testing community.

MELD Testnets

MELD is a dedicated, domain specific blockchain built specifically for security tokens. In order for MELD to be a great success, we need testers to participate in the MELD beta testing community. Each MELD Testnet is an early version of the MELD blockchain to serve as a preliminary staging ground for developers and users to test the functionality of MELD before it is ready for release.

MELD Beta Testing Community

Members of the MELD beta testing community come from all parts of the globe and have each voluntarily opted to join the MELD beta testing community to test the functionality of the MELD chain before it is ready for release. Each member brings a unique skillset. It is not only about testing code but also the interface and the experience. We value each community member and the feedback each community member provides.

In order to test effectively, MELD beta testing community members should read through the resources provided and obtain sufficient knowledge about the MELD Testnets.

Unacceptable Behavior

Any behavior that is disrespectful to members of the MELD beta testing community or creates an environment where members cannot collaborate and exchange ideas is not permitted. We cannot list all examples of such unacceptable behaviors as it would be many pages long and still incomplete. However, we have listed a few examples of such unacceptable behaviors below as a guidance.

Examples of unacceptable behaviors:

  • Angry aggressive comments towards individuals or other community members;
  • Comments regarding political views, religion, ethnicity, sexual orientation or gender;
  • Harassing other individuals or projects (trolling);
  • Distributing false information about MELD or a MELD Testnet; and
  • Making disparaging public remarks about MELD or a MELD Testnet.

Please note: these are just a few examples and you can always consult a team member if you have any questions.

What To Do If You Witness or Are Subject To Unacceptable Behavior

If you are the target of any unacceptable behavior, notice that someone else is being subjected to unacceptable behavior or see someone else engaging in unacceptable behavior, or have any other concerns, please bring it to our attention by email at support@meld.com.

This Code of Conduct may be revised at any time. We are always willing to revise this document based on feedback from the MELD beta testing community.
